Join Fanshawe Pioneer Village and reenactors for Fanshawe 1812: Enemy in Sight! Experience the sights, sounds, muskets, and militia as you explore period encampments and witness hard-fought battles between British and American soldiers on land and Fanshawe lake!

Witness a naval battle and beach landing each day, see cannon firing demonstrations, and witness a battle each afternoon!

Will the British forces by routed by the Americans, or will they be able to maintain the Village of Fanshawe for crown?

The war of 1812 is a key event in the history of Ontario, then known as Canada West. Had the results been different, Upper Canada may have ceded to the United States changing the Canadian landscape significantly.
