“The Tortured Poets Department” has officially joined the setlist.

Swifties everywhere had been anticipating her Thursday show in Paris because it’s the first concert of her worldwide tour since the release of her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, which dropped on April 19. Since she first announced the record, fans have wondered if she would incorporate it into her nearly three-and-a-half-hour Eras performances, and what songs may get cut or changed to accommodate it.

Recent speculation reached a fever pitch following Swift’s upload of a YouTube Short capturing her preparations for the tour, showcasing what appears to be a new microphone, stage elements, and choreography. This strongly hinted at impending significant changes to the Eras Tour.

While Swift has made minor adjustments to the show in the past, such as including “Long Live” in the “Speak Now” segment upon the re-release of that album, or substituting “Invisible String” with “The 1” in the “Folklore” segment post her breakup with Joe Alwyn, introducing an entirely new era would mark the most significant shift yet. All eyes were on the City of Light to witness how, or if, the singer-songwriter would execute it.

Although the introduction to the first era of the night, “Lover,” remained mostly unchanged, the pre-show audio, featuring snippets from all the featured albums, now includes a brief excerpt from Swift’s latest song “The Tortured Poets Department,” from her newest album of the same name. Additionally, she debuted a new red/orange-toned bodysuit and matching jacket during this era.

Changes in the “Lover” set included the removal of “The Archer,” with the set now concluding after “Lover,” maintaining its stunning transition intact.

A new fringe dress adorned Swift during the “Fearless” era, while the set order underwent a notable alteration, transitioning from “Lover” to “Red,” rather than “Evermore” as previously. This signaled a complete rearrangement of the performance sequence.

New Era’s Tour Order:

“Lover”
“Fearless”
“Red”
“Speak Now”
“Reputation”
“Folklore + Evermore”
“1989”
“The Tortured Poets Department”
Surprise songs
“Midnights”

Updates in the “Red” set included the debut of a new shirt bearing the message “This IS NOT Taylor’s Version,” and Swift’s interaction with the audience before performing the extended version of “All Too Well.”

The “Speak Now” era received fresh visuals, although the fan-favorite track “Long Live” was omitted, leaving “Enchanted” as the sole song for this segment.

The “Folklore” and “Evermore” eras were merged, featuring updated visuals and instrumentals, and commencing with “Cardigan” instead of “The 1.” Swift wore a new yellow dress for this set.

New setlist for this combined Era:

“Cardigan”
“Betty”
“Champagne Problems”
“August”
“Illicit Affairs”
“My Tears Ricochet”
“Marjorie”
“Willow”

For the “1989” era, Swift showcased a new multicolor ensemble, with a departure from the previous set’s theme.

A new era, “The Tortured Poets Department,” debuted after “1989,” featuring literary-themed visuals, new choreography, costumes, and a black-and-white aesthetic. This era’s setlist included entirely new songs.

The “The Tortured Poets Department” setlist includes:

“But Daddy I Love Him” and “So High School” mash-up
“Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?”
“Down Bad,” which segued into “Fortnight”
“Fortnight”
“The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived”
“I Can Do It With a Broken Heart”

Swift maintained her acoustic set with minimal changes, except for sporting a new magenta dress and performing “Paris” on guitar and the track “Loml” on piano, indicating the inclusion of songs from the new album in this segment.

During the “Midnights” segment, Swift unveiled a new bodysuit for her performance of “Midnight Rain.”

Following the show, Swift’s website featured updated merchandise reflecting the new era, with the Eras Tour logo prominently featuring Tortured Poets artwork.
