As we patiently wait for Taylor Swift’s next album re-recording to drop, we can help celebrate another major milestone – Taylor’s video for ‘Blank Space’ has officially reached 3 billion YouTube views.

Blank Space is the second single off of the album 1989, and hit No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart back in 2014.  According to Billboard, “’Blank Space’ is Taylor’s longest-running No. 1 single with seven weeks atop the chart. The song also earned three nominations at the 58th annual Grammy Awards in the record of the year, song of the year and best pop solo performance categories. The corresponding album 1989 won the coveted album of the year title as well as best pop vocal album at the 2016 ceremony.”

The video, which was directed by Joseph Kahn, won best female video and best pop video at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards.  Blank Space now joins Shake It Off as the second music video off of the same album to surpass 3 billion views on YouTube.

Taylor recently released a new single titled ‘Carolina,’ which is a song from the Motion Picture ‘Where The Crawdads Sing.’  When Taylor released Carolina, she wrote on Instagram, “About a year and half ago I wrote a song about an incredible story, the story of a girl who always lived on the outside, looking in. Figuratively and literally. The juxtaposition of her loneliness and independence. Her longing and her stillness. Her curiosity and fear, all tangled up. Her persisting gentleness… and the world’s betrayal of it. I wrote this one alone in the middle of the night and then @aarondessner and I meticulously worked on a sound that we felt would be authentic to the moment in time when this story takes place. I made a wish that one day you would hear it.”
