The Special Investigations Unit has been brought in to investigate after a London man was injured during an arrest Saturday.

The SIU says that a London Police officer was on call at a location on Commissioners Road and recognized a man wanted for an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court.

A second officer was brought in to arrest the suspect.

During the course of the arrest, the man was injured. He was then treated and released from hospital, taken to the police station and then released from custody.

The 44 year old man was charged with one count of resist arrest.
