A senior from Middlesex County is the latest victim in a fraud scam.

It wasn’t from Canada Revenue Agency, or one of those automated messages, this time the fraudster had posed as the victim’s grandchild claiming they needed money to pay damages from a motor vehicle collision.

The victim transferred the person $9,100. The victim had contacted their grandchild two days later to follow up and it was then that they realized they were defrauded.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
