Western University will be closing it’s University Drive bridge starting October 18th for the next few months. Vehicles will not be allowed to access the bridge, but it will still be open to cyclists and pedestrians. The decision to close the bridge comes after the University received a recommendation from an outside structural engineering firm that conducted a routine inspection. The inspection found the 95 year old bridge needs some repair.

The university will be working with the City of London, London Transit, Emergency Services, and the University Hospital to make sure everything runs smoothly during its closure.
