OPP are reminding drivers that officers will be out on provincial highways this Thanksgiving long weekend.

Operation Impact, which is launched by the OPP and police forces across Canada will focus on four major factors that are leading contributors to road fatalities.

Aggressive driving, alcohol and drug impaired driving, inattentive driving and lack of seat belt use are what police are going to be looking out for.

So far this year, 156 people have died in collisions on OPP patrolled roads that were linked to the big four and fifty of those 156 deaths have been linked to speeding. 37 of those were linked to inattentive driving and 35 deaths involved a driver being impaired by alcohol or drugs.
